UPDATE, AUGUST 9: It’s open! Just the park; the bridge is still closed.
UPDATE, AUGUST 8: The contractor says the park should be open Saturday morning. Please don’t try to access the park until the barrier fencing comes down!
UPDATE, AUGUST 2: Shad Qadri shared this note on Facebook: “Hello everyone, please be patient as to the eventual opening of the park. City will not accept any park or any other infrastructure without final inspections. With the Brigatine Park city has identified some defenciies that must be completed. If the city accepts the park without its final approval any further work related to these defencies would have to be completed by the city at taxpayers expense. So I ask all of you to be patient and inturn we will receive a park that is fully completed without any delays at a later date. Thank you, Shad”
UPDATE, AUGUST 1: It’s not open yet but it’s looking good.
We have been advised that the play structure in Brigatine Park requires the repair of some deficiencies and is then expected to open after a further inspection – the structures will then be open for play by the end of next week (Aug 1). Here are some recent photos showing progress on the park.
