The project contractor working on the Kanata West Pump station has been granted a noise by-law exemption from the City for the use of construction equipment. The request is to start work early on July 27th (5am rather than 7am). The work being conducted is for concrete placement. This will involve approximately four concrete trucks and a concrete pumping unit, both only making normal truck engine noise. It is over 500m to the nearest home on Helm. The early start will enable workers to pour the concrete in order to beat the summer/warm temperatures.
